Okay so today I spent a lot of time working on my dream. I was really really angry but I channelled my emotions into something constructive. It's not that I'm to credit for this. It's my support network that's keeping me from flying off the rails.

I am still really mad about my recent firing but I must be in the 1% in terms of what I have to be grateful for. It's everyone around me who is helping me get through it.

I'm not proud of it but I have anger issues. By that I mean that when I am full of anger I have some very toxic and manic ways that I express it. I'm really thankful that everyone around me has been reflecting back cool and collected energy for me to absorb when I'm at the peak of my hot headedness. You know who you are.

I digress.

So I added this stuff to my website which is really awesome because now when I talk to people and need to show them the discord it won't be so hard for me to get them the link.

Today was a really hard day.

I feel like someone dropped a bomb in my mind.

Context: I exhausted myself in november by launching a plush toy product for my former employer. We sold 60k units in the last 30 days amounting to over 1.5 million in net revenue (total sales after taxes, shipping, and discounts AKA The amount of money we collect from Shopify) only to be laid off immediately after the launch.

I did make some very large mistakes. Namely, I created a $300k exposure for 2026 by overstocking one of the products. Basically if none of them sold over the next 1yr period that would be the amount the company would lose.

At the end of the day, I also have a lot to be grateful for to my old employer. For example they gave me a 3 month severance package.

My dream is to not have to work for anyone else again.

I'll be real with my finances. If it comes to it I'll get a restaurant job or whatever is necessary to scrape by.

The thing about me is that I have an innate sense of what I need to be doing. I'm mostly incapable of taking commands that I don't agree with but am willing to update priors and I frequently change my position.

I ultimately give myself the final say regardless of the power hierarchy I'm in, which as you can imagine makes it hard to navigate capitalism.

My lack of deference is a driving force behind my need to get really good at everything I can as fast as possible. I feel that if I can't get paid to follow my heart the future will not be bright for me.

The plan.

I'm actually pretty optimistic that I can pull things off this time.

The thesis is that multiple small community centric orgs working in symbiosis will allow for sustainable operations at a small to medium size while staying robust against large corps, copy cats, and other threats to any one organism in the ecosystem.
